Cobo Ceramic Workshop + Gallary ONI is an open ceramic art space , displaying and sharing the life experience and needs of us, and interpreting a story of a new era through the ancient medium of pottery.

Chris Lo羅士亷​

畢業於香港中文大學藝術系,

1967年生於香港,1990年畢業於香港中文大學藝術系,現居於台灣高雄。從事陶藝創作,創作媒體包括雕刻陶藝、裝置藝術及功能器物。

1995年成立大陶工作室Cobo Ceramic Workshop,專注從事陶藝教學及創作,並曾多次在香港及台灣舉辦個人展覽,以及參與海外如日本、韓國、美國、歐洲及中國之展覧 。作品為香港藝術館,香港文化博物館,北京城歷史博物館,美國Kohlor Art Center, 日本樂陶藝之森及私人所收藏。
 
2007年先後於美國Kohler Art/industry Residency Programme 及日本信樂陶藝之森任駐場藝術家。

2014 - 2019 應邀開始擔任香港康樂及文化事務署之博物館陶藝專家顧問。
 
2015 與一眾香港陶人合辨”香港陶瓷硏究會”,對香港港彩作口述歷史硏究及紀
錄。
 
2017 組成香港龍和窯關注組,爭取保存及活化香港唯一的青山龍窯。
 
2018 移居台灣,創辨大陶工作室-台灣, 専注個人藝術創作及教學工作。
  
 
Chris Lo graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Armed with a formal education background in painting, he shifted his energies to specialize in ceramic art in 1993.

In 1995, he founded his own art studio called the Cobo Ceramic Workshop. This allowed Chris to actively participate in numerous art exhibitions in Hong Kong , as well as in Taiwan, Japan, USA , Korea, Europe and China .

In 2007, He has participated in the artist in residency programme in the Kohler Art/ Industry Residency Programme, Wisconsin, U.S. and also the Shigaraki one in Japan in respectively.

His works include sculptural ceramics, installation works, and functional objects that display both form and function.
Chris’s works reflect his interpretation of life incensed by a strong internal spirituality.

Chris’s works are carried in the collections of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the National Museum of Chinese History in Beijing, and the Kohler Art Centre, Wisconsin, USA , as well as a host of private individuals and collectors.

2015 founded the Hong Kong Ceramic Research Society with a group of HK potters and follows in carrying out an oral history research on the local development and history of Gang Cai.

Later in 2017, form “ the Hong Kong dragon kiln concern group “ in exploring the possibility of vitalizing the only dragon kiln in Hong Kong and researching on the history, at the same time gaining public concern of this local precious relic .

He is also invited by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department Hong Kong since 2014 through 2019 as the museum expert advisor on ceramics.

Moved and settled in Taiwan in 2018, found Cobo Ceramic Workshop TW and continue his art creation , research and teaching .

Cobo Ceramic Workshop launches contemporary ceramic art rental service! To meet the needs of the aesthetics of the living space, or to enhance the artistic atmosphere within a certain period of time, people with home or business needs can "temporarily" own works of art by leasing, creating a strong artistic atmosphere in a room.
